In Memory of Eileen Crosby

By her daughter, Erin, who loved her very very much

Life is very fragile, it can end at any moment. Eileen Crosby was 66 years young. She was very healthy, slim, and energetic. She had three children and three grandchildren.

Her doctor was shocked she died, on Friday morning... He had just seen her on Tuesday... It was a blood clot that killed her. Hardly any warning and nothing the emergency team could do to help.

She got up early as usual, changed the linen on her bed, made coffee, and sat in a room she made for her birds. She said she didn't feel well, so she laid down. Les, her boyfriend of 22 years, asked her if there was anything that she needed. She replied that she would be fine and she was just going to lay down on the couch for a litte while. Les covered her with an afgan and went to take her grandson to the train station. When he returned, less than 30 minutes later, the paramedics were there, and she was gone.

She had called a good neighbor, Audrey, to come over because she felt so bad. When Audry arrived, she told her that she felt so sick. Audrey asked if she wanted to go to the hospital and Eileen answered "yes". Audrey called 911, they were there in minutes. Eileen was not to be saved. Such a short time from not feeling well to being gone forever.
